Lithuanian Nephrology, Dialysis And Transplantation Association

Lithuanian Nephrology, Dialysis And Transplantation Association was Founded in 1992. This is a nonprofit public professional organization, seeking to coordinate clinical practice, research and education activities in the field of nephrology in Lithuania. A member of LNDTA might be nephrologists, pediatric nephrologists and other specialists working in the field of dialysis, transplantation and nephropathology. In Board there are  13 members: president, vice president, secretary (treasurer), secretary (organizing), 5 regional representatives (Vilnius Region, Kaunas Region, Klaipeda Region, Siauliai Region, Panevezys Region), 4 chairs of committees (clinical nephrology, dialysis, transplantation, dialysis and engineers). The main activities of this association are optimisation of nephrological service and participation in working groups; a) Continues medical education of members of association, family doctors and internists, nurses (seminars, conferences, congresses, workshops); b) Coordination of scientific investigations; 4. Cooperation with other public organisations (specialists, nurses, patients) in Lithuania and with other national and international organizations. In between congresses they organize meetings of the Association board (3-4 times per year) and work in committees, when specific problems originate. Since 1992 every 2 years nephrological associations of Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia are organizing joint conference with participation of famous European experts nephrologists. In June 12-14, 2014 the 12^th  conference was held in Dubingiai (Lithuania). They have 26 dialysis engineers in their association, and there they deepen knowledge in medical aspects of dialysis.
