Medical and Surgical Society of Bologna

The Medical Society Surgical, situated in Bologna - built up in the year 1802, recreated in the year 1823 raised a legitimate organization with DR of 11 June 1891 (OJ n. 171 of 07/23/1891) - has for the reason study and advance of medication, surgery and related sciences.

Acquiring that end, the Company:

1.holding experimental and authoritative gatherings;

2.publishes a social magazine "Notice of Medical Sciences", in which, notwithstanding the demonstrations of the Company, are printed unique expositions, interchanges, reports read to the Company by the Committees, and in addition bibliographic things, magazines, and so forth ;

3.It is advancing open addresses in light of a legitimate concern for science and medicinal practice;

4.It has its own library;

5.awards prizes for the opposition;

6.assigns honor testaments.

Honorary Members. The title is awarded to those Ordinary Members who have rendered outstanding services to it for important advantages arrecatile, who have acquired celebrity for their scientific works, which have stood the so-called Presidency finally to the Shareholders who have kept the membership continuously for 50 years. Honorary Members are allowed to waiver of the annual membership fee while retaining all the rights of Ordinary Members.

Emeriti members; category to which the Company may transfer those Ordinary Members who, for reasons of health or advanced age, can not participate in the activities of the Company. They retain the honors and privileges of Ordinary Members.
