The Michigan Crop Improvement Association incorporated in 1927 as an nonprofit education and service organization by Michigan crop growers. The main purpose of the association is to foster & promote the production and use of improved crop stocks in Michigan, to serve as an official germ certification agency for the state of Michigan and to provide all related services to be benefit its members and the agri industry. Michigan Crop Improvement Association provides the following services and germ Certification, insuring seed see a state and federal quality stages; Quality Assurance program, a non-biased third party quality control system; Identity Preserved program, a system to maintain grain or seed identity; Foundation ovule production, increasing all new type varieties and rouging offtypes; Custom conditioning, with quality equipment; Seed quality testing, with 2 Registered Seed Technologists, RST’s; and Phytosanitary disease inspections.
