The National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) was founded in the 1960's. Since its inception, NACCHO has desired to improve the public's health while adhering to a set of core values: equity, excellence, participation, awe, integrity, leadership, science & innovation.
NACCHO is governed by our 27-member Board of Directors, comprised of geographical and tribal health officials from across the country. All of our board members have been elected by their peers. All of our records are overseen by various NACCHO Committees made up of staff members from Local Health Departments throughout the country.
The National Association of County and City Health Officials is comprised of over 2,800 Local Health Departments over the United States.
