North East Florida Association for Medical Instrumentation is initially established in September, 1980, by march of 1981 six monthly seminars have been held, conducting necessary business and holding seminars on a variety of subjects. These include theoretical and practical discussions on Ventilators, Shop safety, Op Amps, Inverse pressure monitoring and X-Ray Systems. The Main purpose of NEFAMI as stated in the constitution is “to assist members in the growth and development of their biomedical programs by regular interrelation of information, experience and views through meetings and training programs, to establish contact and assist better communication between manufactures and biomedical instrumentation Departments, and to promote better understanding and cooperation with institutional administrations”.
The first Annual Northeast regional Symposium on Technology in medicine to be held on July 23, 24 and 25, 1981 at Radisson fern croft Hotel and country club in Danverse. The Convection is sponsored by the New England society of clinical Engineers, the greater Hartford centre for clinical Engineering Education, The Medical Device society. Six seminars will be furnished each day.
