Northwest Association for Biomedical Research

Twenty five years ago, the Presidents and CEOs of Pacific Northwest's most considerate research facilities recognized that public trust in the integrity of research was necessary to the future of medical discovery in our region. NWABR was born out of that promise and stands today as the Northwest’s leading voice for understanding biomedical research and its ethical transaction .Through education and interaction, NWABR is dedicated to advocating the public's hope in biomedical research and its ethical conduct. Our disparate membership includes academic organizations, research institutes, Industry voluntary health organizations and health care firms. At NWABR the committee will cultivate public understanding and trust in research, which would serve and strengthen the research community, foster confabs about the key role of ethics in biomedical research. It inspires students and support excellence in science teaching. NWBAR Members are of different kinds such as PLATINUM Members, GOLD Members, SILVER Members, BRONZE Members and VENDOR Members. NWABR serves as a bridge for partner with research giants to build and sustain trustworthy practices by connecting them to companions across the Northwest whose expertise and resources strengthen the entire community.  They stand together in promoting public understanding of research and its ethical conduct. The PLATINUM Member is in The University of Washington, GOLD Member is in Western Institutional Review Board. They mainly discussed about the benefit of human subjects in research for more than 40 years, Vendor Members are the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America and they represent the country’s leading   biotechnology companies and biopharmaceutical researchers.
