Norwegian Society of Clinical Cytology

The Society of Cytology was established in 1969 and is the sole national body whose activities are chiefly directed at attractive diagnostic cytology. The primary objects of the Society are to foster a deliberation in the physical activity, status and circumstances of employment of cytologists within the Commonwealth of Australia, to achieve standardization in the interpretation and reporting of cytological findings, and to advance the acquaintance and values of clinical, diagnostic and general cytology by means of roundtables, lectures, case conferences and other activities. Since the initial meeting of the Society, which was held in Perth in 1970, the Society has been actively complex in advancing the education of members. The Society has recognised a qualification for cytotechnologists: the Certificate of Technology of the Society of Cytology CT and this scrutiny has been held annually since 1975. To provide a forum for argument of ideas on cytology; To natural an interest in the keeping fit of cytologists; To inventiveness to achieve uniformity in the elucidation and recording of cytological findings To advance the knowledge also morals of cytology by means of seminars, lectures, case conferences and publication of relevant material in remaining journals or by the periodical of broadsheets; To hearten research in cytology ;To establish liaison with correlated bodies having analogous goals in other kingdoms. Norwegian Society of Clinical Cytology systematises cytopathologists and cytotechnicians in Norway. We are a participant of the European Group of Cytological Societies (EFCS) and an affiliated society of the International Academy of Cytology (IAC). The Society has be originate actively tangled in advancing the edification of associates. The Society sponsors Annual Exact Meetings where affiliates can update their skills in cytology by attending lectures and workshops presented by international and countrywide experts in the field. A magazine newsletter is distributed by the Society for its members and comprises of scientific material and information on branch and national activities, and provides a forum for interchange of approval between members.
