Ramey AFB Historical Association

Ramey Air Force Base is a previous United States Air Force base in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. It was named after Brigadier General Howard Knox Ramey. Taking after its conclusion, it was redeveloped into Rafael Hernandez Airport.

The Ramey Air Force Base Historical Association (RAFBHA) is a non-benefit association with the sole mission of keeping the historical backdrop of Ramey AFB alive. The Association was made in 1997 by men, ladies and families who were positioned at Ramey Air Force Base amid the Cold War years and has been becoming from that point onward. he mission of the Association is to protect and advance the historical backdrop of Borinquen Field/Ramey Air Force Base (AFB) as it existed amid its years of operation of 1939-1973. The RAFBHA works exclusively on gifts. The Association's Board Members and the Museum Staff are pleased to be volunteers.

The mission of keeping the historical backdrop of Ramey alive runs profound. The exhibition hall we have set up on the previous base grounds not just serves as a store of verifiable data additionally serves as an instructive place for schools, colleges, students of history and numerous group/community/legislative associations. Displays incorporate pictures, reports, memorabilia, individual stories and that's only the tip of the iceberg.

It is of essential significance that future eras fathom the authentic occasions and individual penances which permit our nation to appreciate the greater part of the flexibilities that freedom gives. Borinquen Field/Ramey Air Force Base was among the numerous army bases committed to achieve this mission.
