Slovenian chemical society

The slovenian chemical society (scs) is especially eager to establish a close collaboration between colleagues from the academic sphere and those from the industry with a view of knowledge transfer, thus enabling quicker progress of the Slovenian chemical industry. Journal of the Chemical Society was published between1862 to 1877 .The scs was established in 1951 .The scs was founded to unite all chemists and chemical engineers The slovenian chemical Society has 1300 members. The society's aims are to – promote the science of chemistry – further its application in industry – unite all members organized activities – organize symposia , conferences , meetings and discussions – contribute to professional advancement of the members – establish connections with other organizations active in the field of chemistry Slovenian Chemical Society is a full member of: – the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) (IUPAC) – the European Association for Chemical and Molecular Sciences (EuCheMS ) – the European Federation of Chemical Engineering (EFCE) and – others  The flagship of the scs is the journal Act a Chimica Slovenica. Bulletin of the Korean Chemical Society has been published since 1980 as the official research journal of the Korean Chemical Society. In 1951 first publication issued as "Chemical papers" could be considered as predecessor of Slovenian chemical periodical. In 1954 the first number of Bulletin of slovenian chemical society was issued University of Ljubljana.
