Society of Applied & Industrial Mathematicians

SIAM was founded in 1952 and it is a  non-profit organization to SIAM exists to build the strongest interactions between mathematics and other scientifical and technical communities through membership activities,. It also publishes books and journals and organises the conferences. The Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) is an international community and it has 14,000 individual members. In that almost 500 academic, industrial, investigation and development, service organizations, government and some military  organizations worldwide are institutional members.

SIAM mostly focus on  the development of functional mathematical and also computational methods needed in these various application areas. Now the Applied mathematics is in partnership with computational science which is essential in solving many real-world problems. Through publications, research, and community, the mission of SIAM is to build cooperation between mathematics and the worlds of science and technology. It will  convey mathematical knowledge to other experts who could implement this mathematical theory for practical, academic, industrial, or scientific use.It focuses on the advance the application of mathematics and computational science to engineering, industry, science, and society; To increase  research that will lead to actual new mathematical as well as computational methods and techniques for science, industry, engineering, and society; To help media for the exchange of information and ideas among the scientists, mathematicians, engineers, and scientists.
It is headquarter in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and it has 60 employees.
