The Society of Biology of Chile, successor to the Society of Biology of Santiago, was established in late 1928 as an auxiliary of the Societies de Biology de Paris Society; be distributed, at first, synopses of logical correspondences of the Society of Biology of Santiago, in the Comptes Rendus of the Society de Biology de Paris. At present, we are partnered with the International Union of Biological Sciences (IUBS)The principal board comprised of: Carlos Monckeberg, President Eduardo Cruz-Coke, Vice President; Felipe González, Secretary; and ME Wollman, Director.We will probably advance studies and research, both hypothetical and exploratory; That lead to advance, dispersion and spread of organic sciences for the advantage of the group for this, we direct intermittent experimental gatherings to convey, examine and talk about the exploration work completed at national or other lab; We keep up relations and collaborate with comparative, national or remote substances; and unveil, by every fitting mean, natural examination being led.Among our media, we highlight three productions and this site.The productions are: Revista Chilena de Historia Natural, Journal Biological Research (once in the past Archives of Medicine and Experimental Biology), established in 1964, a news dispersion month to month, including: date-book of workshops, gatherings and national gatherings held in Biology and related controls.
