Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography

The SDMS is a specialized membership organization Established in 1970 in the State of Washington, to stimulate, advance, and educate its fellows and the medical community in the science of diagnostic medical sonography. The SDMS, with over 27,000 fellows, is the biggest association of sonographers and sonography students across the world.  The Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography is the biggest professional suggestion for sonographers in the world, and hosts the biggest annual meeting for sonographers. SDMS announces a bi-monthly journal, the Journal of Diagnostic Medical Sonography, in addition as a bi-monthly print newsletter, News Wave, and a regular electronic newsletter, SDMS Sound News. The association also maintenances broad advocacy program supportive legislative and regulatory creativities designed to support sonographers and quality switch standards for sonography facilities provided to patients by the SDMS membership. The SDMS is a nonprofit, qualified association representing over 27,500 sonographers and sonography student memberships. SDMS members can be establish in all fifty U.S. states and 48 countries. The SDMS provides its participation with a comprehensive array of continuing medical education actions, material, and products reflecting all of the sonography specialty areas. The SDMS is recognized by the US Internal Revenue Service as an excused association under Internal Revenue Code Section 501. The SDMS is joined with two other not-for-profit organizations - the SDMS Foundation, which is accepted by the US Internal Revenue Service as an exempt organization under Internal Revenue Code Section 501. As a public charity (contribution grants, scholarships, education, research, and universal assistance programs) and the SDMS Political Action Group, an exempt organization under Internal Revenue Code Section 527 that foyers the U.S. Congress on behalf of sonographers and the patients they serve. SDMS members have exclusive access to: DMS Foundation's Programs, Mentor and Student Resources, CME Credit Chances, Journal of Diagnostic Medical Sonography and Then Salary & Advantages Reports.
