The Society of Infectious Diseases (Singapore), for short, was founded in 1990 to promote the practice, education, training and inhibition of infectious diseases in Singapore. The members comprise infectious disease, microbiology and protective medicine doctors, and infectious disease nurses, pharmacists and researchers, and students in these disciplines. The missions are: to advance the knowledge and practice of infectious diseases and its related fields; to promote research in these fields and to organise steady scientific discussions, meetings, symposia, seminars, and workshops on subjects related to infectious diseases. Society of Infectious Diseases also aims to collaborate with similar societies or the pharmaceutical industry to improve the study and research in infectious diseases. We are affiliated with International Society of Chemotherapy and the Asia Pacific Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infection.
