Spanish Association of Human Genetics activity is focused on the study of human genetics in different areas. The Spanish Association of Human Genetics (AEGH) is a scientific association profit at the national level, where most Spanish geneticists are integrated. Founded in 1974, the AEGH is currently constituted as a scientific association, non-profit and nationwide, home to about 900 Spanish professionals. Human Genetics is characterized by bringing together a wide range of areas of work and expertise: Medical-clinical Genetics (Dysmorphology), Cytogenetics, Molecular Genetics, Biochemical Genetics, Genetic Counseling and other more recent addition as pharmacogenetics or applied genomics, which are developed by professionals in hospitals, health centers, universities or companies, both public and private sectors.
