Spanish Society of Digestive Pathology

Toward the start of the 30s the need emerges, by a gathering of doctors intrigued by Digestive Diseases, framing an association that would join endeavours to advance the study, improvement and scattering of the strength. It was planned to unite specialists, specialists and different experts were occupied with the pathology of Gastroenterology. That was the manner by which after the Second National Congress of Digestive Diseases, held in Barcelona in December 1933, came the main bases, from the School of Digestive Pathology Dr. Gallart Monés to make a Society, speaking to the union of every Spanish gastroenterologist. To do this it had two media The Journal of the Spanish Society of Digestive Diseases and Nutrition and the National Congress. It has changed enormously in these over 80 years of history, the very idea and substance of the strength, however kept unaltered the reasons for which it was established. The advancement of the Company has been proceeded without real amazes, each of the Presidents and individuals from the different Boards have conveyed the best of themselves to the EDPS is the thing that it is, a dissolvable strong exploratory society, which amasses most authorities in the nation and perceived both broadly and globally.
