In order to achieve this, the Statistical Society of Canada brings up ways to develop a public awareness on value of statistical thinking, the importance of statistics through statisticians in Canada. They ensure that decisions on Canadian society are based on appropriate data and statistical interpretation. The society also promotes the best possible standards for statistical education and practice. They promote the development of statistical methodology to researchers through a sense of community among all statisticians in Canada. The society is an ideal to provide a forum for the interchange of ideas amidst theoreticians and doctors of statistics.
The Statistical Society of Canada was involved in activities related to statistics from its formation in 1972. The society has made its importance in the statistics arena of the country and the world by bringing up great statistical approach and publication of the latest ones through its journals. The society has taken an active part in advocating increased funds supply for statistical research.
