Study Group on Diabetes and Nutrition of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes -DNSG-EASD

The aims of the Association are to encourage and support research in the field of diabetes, and the rapid diffusion of the acquired knowledge and to facilitate the application. The European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) is been founded in Montecatini, Italy in the year 1965 with Dr. Joseph Hoet as Founding President. 

The Association is based on the individual membership and it embraces the scientists, physicians, laboratory workers, nurses and students from throughout the world who ever are interested in diabetes and its related topics. An Active Member is an individual holding a medical degree or the scientific worker with the academic degree who had been paid the current annual membership fee. Members are supposed to use their vote at the General Assembly, which is held during Annual Meeting and they are eligible for election for the respected Council and for the Executive Committee. These Memberships will also provide the possibility of attending all these Annual Meetings of the Association at a considerably reduced registration fee. Active members will be receiving the monthly   official journal of the Association, Diabetologia, which are been the publishes articles on the clinical and the experimental diabetes and metabolism. In addition there are rapid communications and review articles by the basis of selected topics of current interests by the leading eminents in the field.
