The Asian Pacific Society of Nephrology

The Asian Pacific Society of Nephrology (APSN) aims to promote and encourage the advancement of scientific knowledge and research in all aspects of nephrology, and to promote the exchange and dissemination of this knowledge in the Asian-Pacific area. It has close links with all regional national societies of nephrology, and with the International Society of Nephrology (ISN).The APSN aims to cater specifically for the needs of the Nephrology community throughout the region, especially fostering the development of high quality nephrology in the less well developed countries of the region. Nephrology is published six times per year by the Asian Pacific Society of Nephrology. It has a special emphasis on the needs of Clinical Nephrologists and those in developing countries. The journal publishes reviews and papers of international interest describing original research concerned with clinical and experimental aspects of nephrology. APSN provides fellowship programs, awards and grants. The objective of the APSN Nephrology Fellowship program, first established in 2009, is to assist nephrologists from the Asian-Pacific region to receive clinical training in established nephrology units within the Asian-Pacific countries, as a means of improving the standard of nephrology clinical service in the Fellows home countries. Priority will be given to applicants from developing countries, and those who are in the formative phase of their career.
