The display housed in the University of Cape Town (UCT) Department of Anesthesia boasts the finest aggregation of early anesthesia mechanical gathering in Africa with relics doing a reversal to 1847 – one and just year after the essential first open show by Morton of the feasibility of ether to give anesthesia in Boston in October 1846.
