The Turkish Geriatrics Society is a nationwide, unbiased, nonprofit group which aims to upsurge the values in the field of geriatrics with edification, patient care and treatment. Was originated in 2003 by skilled fellows of medicine from the departments of various medical faculties, is a national, neutral, nonprofit organization and aims to upsurge the values in the field of geriatrics counting teaching, health prevention and upgrade, patient care and treatment, to promote and improve older people’s quality of life, to make aids for the growth of technical, scientific and social facilities and it also collaborates with any and all related organizations, foundations and societies in the nationwide and global area for this purpose. It is also used to measure and validate the work of health and communal organizations and institutions concerned with the care of older people.
