Mexican Mathematical Society

The Mexican Mathematical Society a civil association established on 30 June 1943. It domiciled in Mexico City, and has members throughout the Republic and abroad. The Company has organized forty eight National Congresses in various cities.

The Mexican Mathematical Society goals are: to stimulate and maintain interest in mathematical research in Mexico for which are given researchers the facilities and support as possible; seek rapprochement and cooperation of all teachers and intellectuals interested in the study and research of the exact sciences and related disciplines them; contribute to improving the teaching of mathematics in Mexico, both in elementary and secondary schools and higher; publish scientific journals; encourage the development and publication of textbooks of mathematics; conferences, meetings, conferences and mathematics competitions; cooperate in solving mathematical problems presented to them researchers from other sciences; promote the exchange of math teachers from one to another school in our Republic; manage scholarships for students, manage grants from the federal government, states and municipalities to cover partially or totally the expenses incident to work for the achievement of the purposes of the Company, and manage donations from institutions or individuals for the same purpose.

For 73 years the Mexican Mathematical Society has sought to fulfil its aims. Therefore, it has had the valuable selfless participation of the mathematical community and education institutions and research where she was born or that have arisen during that period. Many institutions have sponsored the activities of the Company. To achieve its goals, the Company has several committees generally work autonomously and have a coordinator and many distinguished mathematicians working in each committee donating the most precious of each of them, namely, their time and their knowledge in order to have a better country.
