The Rice Association

The Rice Association is the representative organisation for the UK rice sector. Its main aim is to promote the interests of members in all matters pertaining to preparation, the import processing, packaging and marketing of rice. The running intentions of the Association are to secure the persistent improvement in the quality of rice supplied to the United Kingdom and give support the development of rice varieties suited to UK consumers' requirements; to increase the acquaintance of and promote using up of all types of rice in the UK. To relay the views of the Association to others who have indirect or direct involvement in the rice world, whether nationally, at EU level or overseas. To reconcile and to set technical standards and the quality and for the industry. To secure the removal of anomalies and impediments in European Community legislation creating misrepresentation in the United Kingdom rice trade.
