Turf & Ornamental Communicators Association

The Turf and Ornamental Communicators Association is composed of different editors, since their beginnings in 1990, they have been serving members of the green industry by fostering an exchange of information regarding issues that affect how they communicate to their various audiences. It is also known TOCA. There are three types of membership in TOCA. Active members are those people who have primary responsibilities in turf and ornamental regarding editorial positions. Affiliated membership is offered to those who work with the turf and ornamental communications industry in non-commercial editorial positions like as advertising, public relations or governmental agencies. An honorary life member gives to those who have offered distinguished service to TOCA and the turf and ornamental industry. Their members get different benefits like –getting their quarterly newsletter to stay upgraded on association activities, serve on their association, Develop effective contacts between different members through attending at various TOCA events. TOCA is successful because of its members and their determination to improve the professionalism of the industry through good quality publications and all aspects of marketing communications. They organize a scholarship program for interested college students in the Green industry, developed an introductory program for environmental communications, and created a recognition program for writers in plant health domain. They have reached 2015 membership goals of 250 members.  The good news is that they have been growing from the last five years and for that they are thankful to every member. Now they need renew from all the old members.
