Weed Science Society of Victoria

The Weed Society of Victoria is an society for people interested in any aspect of weeds. This might include terrestrial or aquatic weeds, biology, ecology and management of weeds, their place in the environment, their benefits and uses or their place in history and art and there is no restriction on Membership of the Society if you have an active interest in any part of weeds then the Weed Society of Victoria is the place for you.  The Society's main objectives is to promote an extensive awareness and interest in weeds to provide an environment for the discussion of weed management issues, containing the interchange of information based on research, practice and to encourage the study of weeds and the dissemination of findings from those studies and to achieve these objectives, the Society encourages membership from a wide range of interests, including federal, state and local governments, agri-business and other private enterprises, landowners and managers, community groups including private individuals.
