Wetterau Society for General Biology will lay people who are interested in natural history subjects.
Their Club rooms are located in the Cultural Forum Hanau
During the winter months they regularly monthly several lectures, which take place in the evening. Topics include mainly the work areas: geology and mineralogy, geography, botany, zoology, hydrology, climatology, chemistry and physics. Attendance at public lectures is usually free, but we ask for donations for the association's work.
The event program will be sent to the members. They will also be at the City Library. The dates will be announced in the public press and by some figurehead.
During the summer months they have a variety of half-day and full-day excursions as well as a multi-day excursion. At these events, the costs will be allocated to the participants. Of course, non-members can participate in the events.
It comprises a very extensive and valuable collection of books, periodicals and reprints. It is based on acquisitions, donations and a nearly 200-year exchange of publications.
