Keratitis could be a condition during which the eye's tissue layer, the front a part of the attention, becomes inflamed. The condition is commonly marked by moderate to intense pain and requently involves any of the subsequent symptoms: pain, impaired sight, photophobia, red eye and a 'gritty' sensation.
Treatment ofKeratitis depends on the cause of the keratitis. Infectious keratitis can progress rapidly, and generally requires urgent antibacterial, antifungal, or antiviral therapy to eliminate the pathogen. Antibacterial solutions include levofloxacin, gatifloxacin, moxifloxacin, ofloxacin.
