Cancer Association of Anderson

The Anderson Cancer Association is the only local charity Cancer in Anderson County. Our mission is to help reduce the cancer burden on the residents of Anderson County fight against cancer by providing treatment-related financial assistance, information and guidance, as well as emotional support. The Anderson Cancer Association was founded in March 2003 by a group of cancer survivors, occupational health care and community leaders to improve the quality of life of patients and cancer survivors and their families in Anderson County. This association depends on donations and charm of 100 years, the house of the funds raisers.The Cancer Association belongs to Dr. Rajeev Malik. Services include up to $ 1,000 a year in aid for expenses related to treatment, including prescription drugs and gas to get to medical appointments, emotional support through support groups and free membership in oncology Rehab AnMed Health program, new and used free wigs, hats, breast prostheses and mastectomy bras, connection to other people who have fought cancer and survived, referrals to services here Besides that help cancer patients and their families, loans and assistance in the purchase of durable medical equipment. The Anderson Cancer Association hosts several support groups for cancer patients, such as cancer of the breast 1-8, Support group for women with cancer "below the belt", including reproduction, colorectal and urological. in addition to these groups, AnMed Health hosts support groups for men with prostate cancer. Anderson County residents can take eight weeks rehabilitation oncology program at LifeChoice GYMN thanks AnMed health in Anderson cancer Association and project support Palmetto Peloton. during the course, patients operate under the supervision of nurses and exercise physiologists, and then take a class on topics such as survival nutrition, stress management and depression and fatigue fight
