European Federation of Neurological Societies

European Federation of Neurological Societies is a fast-growing, independent association non-profit organization established in 1921.  The aim is to improve the quality of life of those affected by neurological problems or disorders and promote rapid and accurate diagnosis, appropriate treatment and care for people with a neurological illness and better access to information which is accurate and readily understandable. They also promote awareness and understanding of neurological conditions to the public, the authorities and medical corps and eliminate prejudice and discrimination associated with neurological diseases. They increase the priority given to neurology by policy and decision makers and by health care providers. The representation and defense of moral and material interests of the members of the organization and this, subsidiary and without prejudice to the principal pedagogical and scientific aims of the association.  There are 45 European national neurological societies were registered members of the EFNS, and the federation represented more than 19,000 European neurologists. In June 2014 the federation, together with the European Neurological Society, founded the European Academy of Neurology. Both parent organizations’ were dissolved at the same time. Towards reaching their goal enable our members to enhance the care they deliver to their patients by facilitating the exchange of scientific information at the highest level. In pursuit of this goal, we arrange a wide range of meetings, symposia and educational courses, including the European Congress of Neurosurgery and the highly regarded European Training Courses in Neurosurgery.
