Federation of European Neuroscience Societies

The Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS) is that the voice of European neuroscience, representing close to 23,000 European neuroscientists. Supported in 1998 at the primary Forum of European Neuroscience, the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS) is the main organization for neuroscience in Europe. FENS presently represents 43 European national and single discipline neuroscience societies with close to 23,000 member scientists from 33 European countries. FENS promotes neuroscience analysis to policy-makers, funding bodies and also the general public, both regionally and internationally. Hence, FENS’s main aim is to promote the excellence in neuroscience analysis and facilitates the exchange and networking between neuroscientists at interval the European analysis space and on the far side. Neuroscience is an ever changing analysis space during which disparate disciplines converge to tackle problem starting from the most basic analysis to the appliances in treatments for the disorders that affect the brain. The Brain Conferences establish a series of high-level conferences on neuroscience in Europe. Organized by FENS in collaboration with The Brain Prize, these bi-annual conferences collect outstanding analyzers in key areas of contemporary neuroscience to debate current ideas and outline challenges for future research. FENS, EJN (European Journal of Neuroscience) and Wiley (co-owner of EJN) collaborate to support several analysis awards and academic activities, thereby returning payoff generated by EJN to the neuroscience community. European journal of Neuroscience is free online to all or any members of FENS’s societies.
