Nordic Society for Aerosol Research

The Nordic Society for Aerosol Research (NOSA) was established in 1978. Its motivation is to advance airborne examination, interdisciplinary coordinated effort between individuals, to encourage data to individuals and the overall population by the course of action of symposia, to bolster universal cooperation and trade of thoughts, and to advance re-development and training inside vaporized sciences. Countless exploration systems have stemmed out from the NOSA people group amid the most recent 10 years. Extensive parts of the examination groups spoke to by NOSA has been working together inside Nordic systems: In 2001-2005 inside the NorFA Network on Atmospheric Aerosol Dynamics (NAD) in 2001-2005, in 2003-2007 inside NorFA graduate school on Carbon – Biosphere – Aerosol – Cloud – Climate Interactions (CBACCI) in 2003-2007, in 2003-2007 inside the Nordic Center of Excellence, Research Unit on Biosphere – Coal – Aerosol – Cloud – Climate Interactions in 2003-2007, and in 2011-2014 inside the Nordic Center of Excellence, Cryosphere-Atmosphere Interactions in a Changing Arctic Climate (CRAICC) in 2011-2014, the two last established by the Nordic board of clergymen. While the these recourses have been critical in enhancing the nature of examination and training inside the Nordic people group, however have been centered around either instruction or exploration, never both, they have been restricted to one and only of the five imperative fields recorded above, and they have been constrained in time and does not offer the congruity that NOSA does. NOSA in this way serves as a crucial gathering for the Nordic airborne researchers to meet, connect and arrange research exercises together – which has as of now prompt a few fruitful tasks and research coordinated efforts.

NOSA has orchestrated a Nordic Aerosol Symposium every year since 1978. These symposia are an imperative piece of NOSA exercises, and satisfy a few of NOSAs objectiveses, see above. They unite individuals from all the exploration fields of vaporized science and regularly individuals from most offices/organizations/research bunches with airborne pertinent examination – from the Nordic nations as well as all through the world. In January 2014 we have the pleasure to will mastermind this Symposium at Stockholm University. Commonly the Nordic Aerosol Symposium concentrates on maybe a couple fundamental subjects. In 2014, we will likely draw in researcher from various fields of airborne exploration, the gathering has three topical central focuses: us on 1) Aerosol forms (normal for focuses 1-5 above) 2) Aerosols and Climate (point 5 5above), and 3) Aerosols and Health (focuses 1-3 above), and on Aerosol forms (in like manner for 1-5). The symposium has the investigative objective to unite Nordic and universal scientists in every one of the fields recorded previously. Nonetheless, on the 2014 meeting we anticipate that there will be a unique enthusiasm for mist concentrates and atmosphere in light of the fact that the distribution of the following IPCC report in September 2013, and in the more much of the time discourses on the wellbeing risks of nano-particles in nature. The symposium additionally serves a center capacity for systems administration inside the subject in and between the Nordic nations, and as a little scale gathering for youthful Ph.D. understudies to get some first experience of universal gatherings and oral and blurb presentations in a casual domain. To urge the understudies to enhance their presentation aptitudes, a best understudy presentation honor is given in the last day of the meeting, alongside the NOSA aerosologist grant declared by the NOSA president in the gathering supper.
