Dr. Ying I. Tsai has received his Ph.D. degree in National Chung Hsing University, Taiwan, in 1999. Dr. Tsai has been members of several scientific societies and organization in Taiwan and Europe, especially Taiwan Association for Aerosol Research (TAAR) and The Nordic Society for Aerosol Research, European Aerosol Assembly (EAA). He was the former chairman of Department of Environmental Resources Management (2012-2014) and Director of Environmental Safety and Hygiene Center (2007-2012), Chia Nan University of Pharmacy and Science. He has honored as Annual Outstanding Industry-Academy Cooperation Award of Ministry of Education, Taiwan and Best Research Paper Award many times at Chia Nan University of Pharmacy and Science. Currently, he is working as Tenured Professor at the Department of Environmental Engineering and Science and Director at the Indoor Air Quality Research and Service Center, Chia Nan University of Pharmacy and Science, Taiwan. Meanwhile. Dr. Tsai serves as an editor and editorial board member for Aerosol and Air Quality Research (Impact factor 2.393 in 2015) and an editorial board member for other three international journals. He was also an Adjunct Professor at the Department of Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University, Thailand. Early he was interested in the chemical properties of atmospheric aerosol, but recently he focused on the emission identification and health risk potential of allergy-/irritation- causing aromatic substances in nano/micron aerosol from incense burning in the indoor environments with big data analysis. So far, Dr. Tsai has authored more than 160 research articles/scientific reports in international journals and conferences with more than 1610 citations.
