Nutrition Society of Australia

The Nutrition Society of Australia (NSA) is a cluster of qualified, practising scientists and instructors from different disciplines who are brought together by a common interest in the research and application of nutrition. It has been established in 1975; the society is represented across Australia by regional groups and managed by a National Council. Members come across locally at Regional Group seminars and nationally at an Annual Scientific Conference to discuss specific scientific topics. Their Annual Scientific Meeting is the only national forum where all aspects of nutrition are reported and enthusiastically conversed. Their focus is mutual scientific support of members and the science of nutrition. Our aim is to be at the hub of Australian nutrition related sciences and hospitals. The members include human nutritionists and dieticians, medical specialists and nurses, agricultural scientists and veterinarians, food scientists, teachers and students. Members are certain by a Code of Ethics. The Society's core goal is to increase and interconnect the scientific value and application of nutrition science in Australia. NSA local meetings are in major cities around Australia throughout the year.
