Patient Safety

Patient safety is a new healthcare discipline that emphasizes the reporting, analysis, and prevention of medical error that often leads to adverse healthcare events. Medical errors can occur any time starting from diagnosis of the diseases, interpretation of the disease, calculation of dosage, dispensing of the drug, packing or labelling the dosage form, usage of the medicine etc. errors in any of these above mentioned steps may lead to advent of adverse drug reactions apart from not mis-treating the patient for his present condition. Adverse drug reactions may sometimes be life threatning. In order to avoid all these and give best to the patient it is essential to take care of patient safety in each and every step in the health care system.
