"Journal of Horticulture is one of the renowned top access journals in horticulture. This journal is a top leading podium for gaining and exchanging knowledge about novel research done in the associated field.
Journal of Horticulture are interesting fields which are concerned with the application of engineering and science methodologies, Potato, Climate change, Common bean, Crop genome, Agricultural water, Metabolic changes, Soil Organic Carbon, Vegetable Cultivation, Root bacteria, Orchids. It involves developing devices and procedures that solve crop related problems by combining their knowledge with engineering principles and practices.
Agricultural water consumption corresponds to 85% of global freshwater and is projected to double in 2050. The global water footprint of crop production in the period 1996ââ¬â2005 was estimated to 7404 Gm3yrâËâ1. Crops especially wheat (1087 Gm3yrâËâ1), rice (992 Gm3yrâËâ1) and maize (770 Gm3yrâËâ1) require significantly amounts of water for production. In the coming years, crop production will increase in order to meet the growing demand of food, the new diet preferences and the shift from fossil energy toward bioenergy. Few new lands will be available so all production must come from the current natural resource base, requiring an intensification by increasing land and water use.
