Journal of Aging Science is one of the leading Scholarly journals in the field of Aging. The journal strives to add in theoretical and technological innovations as part of its publishing remit and is devoted to publishing the highest quality papers.
It mainly provides information regarding aging, reproductive aging, aging skin, biomarkers of aging, cognitive-aging, dementia, frailty, healthy-aging, geriatrics.
Alzheimer's disease (AD) is the most common form (~60%) of dementia in the aged population. In the brain affected by AD, neuronal death occurs mainly in the hippocampus, entorhinal cortex, frontal, parietal and temporal cortices. Neurons in the hippocampal CA1 and layer II of the entorhinal cortex are particularly vulnerable. Amyloid ò, the main constituent of senile plaques, exacerbates oxidative stress and causes peroxidation of cell membranes which ultimately leads to neuronal death.
OMICS is devoted to the prompt publication of original findings of the highest scientific priority and value that provide novel mechanistic insights, represent a clear advance over previous Studies and have the potential to generate exciting future research.
