Biopesticides are used primarily as preventive measures, so they may not perform as quickly as some synthetic chemical pesticides do. Biopesticides are generally less toxic than chemical pesticides, often target specific pests, have little or no residual effects hence pose less risks to human health, the environment and have acceptability for use in the organic farming. Biopesticides may be categorized into three major groups: plant-incorporated protectants (PIPs), biochemical, and microbial biopesticides.
OMICS Group International Journals are known for their high impact factor and a section of OMICS Group journals are indexed in the world noted science repository sites like Medline, PubMed Central, Obscure and Scopus. OMICS has more than 700+ peer-reviewed journals and organizes more than 3000+ International Scientific Conferences every year. Journal of Biofertilizers & Biopesticides is the journal which competes with the good impact factor journals and it also publishes the articles which fall under the novel applications of biodegradation and biotransformation technology to soil, water, sewage, heavy metals and hydrocarbons.
