Yoga and Physical therapy plays a major role in chronic pain treatment. Yoga is a physical and mental practice with origins dating back to more than 5000 years in India. This discipline strives to obtain an internal state of peace. Physiotherapy (PT) is a health care career that incorporates the therapeutic use of physical agents or modalities, such as massage, ultrasound and exercises to name a few. When looking at the discipline of Yoga, it is immediately obvious that Yoga and PT share a common feature: the stretching. Stretching refers to the workout of gentle exercises designed to help making the muscles for greater effort and to rise the range of motion in the joints.
Scholarly peer review is the process of subjecting an author's scholarly work, research, or ideas to the scrutiny of others who are experts in the same field, before a paper describing this work is published in a journal. The work may be accepted, considered acceptable with revisions, or rejected. Peer review requires a community of experts in a given (narrowly defined) field, who are qualified and able to perform reasonably impartial review.
