Calcaneal spur, also termed as heel spur, is a small osteophyte that is located on the calcaneus. This condition is raised when the foot bone is constantly exposed to stress. In this condition, Calcium deposits are built over the bottom of the heel bone. This condition does not have any effect in persons daily life. However, the continues stress can lead to spur-shaped deformity. This condition is common among the obese people, flatfooted, and women who wear heels continuously.
