Depression Review Articles

Review articles are the summary of current state of understanding on a particular research topic. They analyze or discuss research previously published by scientist and academicians rather than reporting novel research results. Depression is the most common mental disorder. Depression affects people in different ways and can cause a wide variety of symptoms. Depression can make people feel helpless, hopeless, or empty and numb. People with depression may experience a lack of interest and pleasure in daily activities, significant weight loss or gain, insomnia or excessive sleeping, lack of energy, inability to concentrate, feelings of worthlessness or excessive guilt and recurrent thoughts of death or suicide. Depression may require long-term treatment. Most people with depression feel better with medication, psychological counseling or both.
