Journal of General practice is a peer reviewed medical journal that deals with current issues in family medicine. The journal is a peer reviewed open access medical journal which accepts the articles for possible publication through strict and standard review process conducted by experts in the field of general practice as well as specific area of expertise. The journal publishes articles such as research, review, case reports, short communications, commentaries as well as editorials which undergoes the quality evaluation by editorial board members as well as outside experts.
Journal of general practice follows this quality maintenance process to improve the quality of the articles and thus facilitating high rate of citations to all articles. We consider peer review process as a complementary addition to our articles in getting best citations. We also pave a platform for our editors and authors to interact with each other and share their views on the articles. Even if the journal follows a blind review where the details of reviewers were not being shared with authors we also offers them a chance to suggest reviewers and also mention details about opposed reviewers. We believe that these facilities can reduce most of the draw backs of peer review process.
