Stem cell therapy in the field of cardiovascular disease has gained a wide acceptance in the medical community. Although there is enthusiasm for the possibility of repair ischemic heart with cells, mechanisms and side effects therapy remain controversial. Cells were cultured in DMED with 10% fetal bovine serum, penicillin G (100 U/mL) and streptomycin (100 U/mL) at 37ðC in humid air with 5% CO2. The pro-arrhythmic status was related to the needle injury during injections and to the electrical remodeling induced by BMScs administration. Ventricular events have not yet determined the exitus of animals, if not in a single case before the administration of cell therapy.
