Trigeminal neuralgia is a mainly a chronic pain condition that usually affects the trigeminal nerve which carries sensation from face to the brain. Trigeminal neuralgia is a kind of neuropathic pain associated with nerve injury or nerve lesions. Trigeminal neuralgia can occur with a variety of conditions. Trigeminal neuralgia also called as tic douloureux. The pain in this syndrome is generally triggered, for example by light touch and can described as stabbing, shooting, excruciating or burning. Scholarly peer review is the process of subjecting an author's scholarly work, research, or ideas to the scrutiny of others who are experts in the same field, before a paper describing this work is published in a journal. The work may be accepted, considered acceptable with revisions, or rejected. Peer review requires a community of experts in a given (narrowly defined) field, who are qualified and able to perform reasonably impartial review.
