Oceanography Innovations

Oceanography is the study of oceans of the world. This area of study is also known as oceanology or marine science, is actually a subset of the branch of Earth science that studies the ocean. Oceanography encompasses the four main sub fields, viz., biological oceanography which deals with the study of marine life emphasizing directly on the marine organisms; chemical oceanography which deals with the study of ocean water composition, ocean processes and cycles and the chemical interaction of ocean water with the environment and sea floor; physical oceanography which deals with the study of physical setting and processes within the ocean such as waves, currents and tides, the transport of sand, coastal erosion and coastal degradation and the interactions of the atmosphere with the ocean; geological oceanography which deals with the study of processes that shape its mountains, canyons, and valleys. This sub field also demonstrates about plate tectonics, oceanic circulation and influence of oceans on climatic changes. Hence Oceanography is a multidisciplinary field which requires a deep understanding of biology, chemistry, biochemistry, physics, geology, geophysics, geography, hydrology, climatology and meteorology. All these knowledge is used to understand some important theories such as ocean acidification, ocean currents, mapping of methane hydrate deposits, weathering and thermal flux. The open access journals are peer reviewed scholarly journals of [oceanography].Innovations are new idea, device or process. Innovations are the application of better solutions that meet new requirements, inarticulated needs or existing market needs. It is proficient through more effective products, processes, services, technologies, or new ideas that are readily available to markets, governments and society. Innovations are something original and novel, as a significant, new that “breaks into” the market or society
