Pharmacovigilance And Drug Safety Journals

PV is the most important issue as it forms the foundation of the framework of safety. According to WHO, PV is defined as the science and activities relating to the detection, assessment, understanding and prevention of adverse effects or any other drug-related problem. Spontaneous Adverse drug reaction (ADR) reporting in PV is an important measure of signal detection, in addition to being highly costeffective. Furthermore, it is powerful as the method of detecting safety concerns in relation to drugs and it plays a pivotal role in PV. Therefore, one can say that ADR reporting is the frontline defense system to ensure drug safety.
