Systemic Sclerosis

Systemic Sclerosis is a type of connective tissue disorder. In this disease there is deposition of extra collagen under the skin. This leads to thickening of the skin cells. This also results in the injuries occurring in the arteries. This leads to disorders in the circulatory system as the oxygenated blood cannot be circulated to all the parts of the body. This not only occurs in the skin but also in various organs like kidneys, liver, etc. leading to deregulation of body systems.
