Virtual microscopy involves microscopic images posting on computer networks. Virtual microscopy replaces traditional teaching methods. It gives a platform for independent viewing of images by huge population from diverse locations. Virtual slides, stored in a multi-resolution file format, are high-magnification digital images of tissue sections. These slides can be viewed in a web browser in a manner that closely simulates examination of glass slides with a real microscope using appropriate software.
