It is considered not only a systemic disorder with reproductive, psychological, cosmetic, and oncologic consequences, but also a metabolic disorder, such as hyperglycemia and insulin resistance, resulting in increased cardiovascular risk and type II diabetes mellitus and extending throughout the patients lifetime with potential financial burden to public health.Â
