Thyroid hormones production is controlled by the thyroid stimulating hormone. In children it is very important to regulate the control of thyroid hormone. The tissue which is present below the brain is the pituitary gland where it produces thyroid stimulating hormone. These thyroid stimulating hormone control and regulates the proper production of thyroid hormone. If these regulation does not occurs proper it leads to high or low level of thyroid hormone production and it leads to hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism.
