This article reports a case of a grade 2 chondrosarcoma with spindle cell components arising from the cricoid cartilage. The present case was tentatively misdiagnosed as carcinoma, NOS, on the examination of the cytology, following aggressive surgery, since its smears displayed the inadequate and few components of tumor cells.
