Cognitive Rehabilitation in Stroke and Alzheimer’s disease

Cognitive functions are weakened in brain disorders comprising neurodegenerative diseases, stroke, and brain trauma. Treatment is typically pharmacological and neurosurgical. However, non-pharmacological intervention, especially cognitive rehabilitation, was often neglected in the past but now there have been increasing efforts to develop cognitive interventions to improve cognitive problems experienced by older adults.
